Overview – Kindergarten (2026)

Ontario’s new 2026 Kindergarten curriculum marks an important shift in how early literacy is understood and supported across the province. In response to findings from the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s Right to Read Inquiry, the revised curriculum provides clearer, more specific expectations for foundational language and literacy skills in Kindergarten.
