Deepening Literacy in Kindergarten: 2026 Curriculum in Focus

Strengthen your understanding of language and early literacy learning in Ontario’s Kindergarten Curriculum (2026). This webinar will be delivered in partnership with Dyslexia Canada: ONlit and is intended to support Kindergarten educators in teaching and assessing the new learning about the foundations of language. Participants will take a deep dive into the new Foundations of Language and Mathematics strand and explore the Language Foundations Continuum for Reading and Writing (Kindergarten–Grade 1), making clear connections between curriculum expectations and classroom practice. Participants will engage with practical examples of instruction and assessment that intentionally support rich language and literacy development for all learners. Participants will also have the opportunity to share questions and areas of interest to inform future webinars.
