Accessibility and Vision Loss in Canada

Living with vision loss presents real obstacles, but society can respond with awareness, innovation, and inclusion. This ready-to-use unit connects with the Grade 6 Health and Language expectations. Students will learn about and examine inclusive policies that make Canada more accessible, while strengthening their writing by using complex sentences with adverbial clauses. Use this unit during the first full week of February to align with White Cane Week to celebrate and advocate for people living with vision loss.
