This workshop provides an introduction to multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) as the framework for implementing the science of reading in elementary schools. A clear description of MTSS will be contrasted with the current service delivery models it is designed to replace. Participants will have an opportunity to reflect on the components of MTSS in relationship to current practices in their schools. Several examples, tools, and success stories will be shared from schools that have improved their reading outcomes.

I love all of Stollars work she has lots of other helpful videos around responding to screening data and making decisions using the decision tree. I also love her recommendation list of the best reads. Her Facebook site is full of amazing things.
I also love the response to the question around 20min in of do we need to continue screening kids who are on track at the beginning of the year!
“You can’t solve the problems for students one student at a time”. It is not just about the students but also the systems. Great workshop to help understand the what and how of MTSS.
Just to add to the post above that sent too quick, check out the point at 1 hour and 16 minutes to learn more about planning your literacy based on this data.
Excellent video. I liked hearing about her experiences and insights. So many.
