Fluency in Perspective

After the release of Fluency in Perspective – Grade 8 in 2024, Ontario educators requested a similar resource for Grade 7, and the ONlit team has delivered! This webinar will be the launch party of the brand-new Fluency in Perspective – Grade 7 resource – don’t miss it!
The webinar will showcase these two resources, both designed to support educators in intentionally building fluency. The Grade 8 resource connects to Strand A of the revised Language curriculum with content about diverse changemakers. The new Grade 7 resource, Across the Curriculum, includes fluency passages connected to content from History, Geography, Science, Health, and the Arts, all while showcasing diverse perspectives.
Facilitated by Lisa Rogers, Laura Bross, Ayesatta Conteh, and Catherine Shawana, this practical webinar will dive deep into not only the fluency passages, but also the instructional routines and educator support built into each resource, including guidance on teaching vocabulary, syntax, and morphology with these passages.
