By ONlit, inspired by Leslie Laud at thinkSRSD Last updated 2026/02/18

Description

Catch up on this ONlit recording featuring Ontario educators Erika Chesnick and Jordan Ingola.

In this session, Erika and Jordan provided a high-level overview of the thinkSRSD approach to teaching writing, along with real-life examples from Ontario classrooms.

This webinar offered educators an opportunity to deepen their understanding of thinkSRSD and shared practical strategies they could implement immediately to help build confident, competent writers.

Curriculum Connection

The thinkSRSD framework is flexible, adaptive, and centered on writing to learn. Its curriculum connections are extensive, reaching across multiple areas of the Ontario curriculum, but heavily rooted in Strand D: Composition - Expressing Ideas & Creating Texts, and Strand C: Reading Comprehension - Reading & Responding to Texts, and Strand A: Foundations of Language and Mathematics in the 2026 Kindergarten curriculum.
