Back to School: Organizing for Instruction

Leigh Fettes and Jordan Sloan kicked off the school year with a practical, high-impact webinar inspired by Dr. Anita Archer’s Explicit Instruction Institute. Designed to help teachers move beyond the nuts and bolts of materials prep, the session focused on the intentional moves that create a strong foundation for learning: clear goals, consistent expectations, purposeful feedback, and an environment where students were set up to succeed. Grounded in structured, explicit instruction and aligned with the Ontario Language Curriculum (and beyond), it offered a chance to reflect, reset, and begin the year with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
