Through this lesson, students will develop the capacity to perceive how media shapes reality and discern the accuracy of media portrayals, enhancing their media literacy (A1.1). Moreover, they will explore how media moulds their perceptions of gender, assessing the alignment of these images with their personal experiences and empowering their communication skills within diverse contexts (A1.1). This lesson also nurtures student agency and engagement as students harness their transferable skills to express their voices and actively participate in learning (A1.2). The lesson's exploration of media portrayal and creation directly aligns with the interrelationships between form, message, context, audience, and creators within the realm of media (A2.5).
