This webinar offered educators an opportunity to deepen their understanding of thinkSRSD and shared practical strategies they could implement immediately to help build confident, competent writers.
Curriculum Connection
The thinkSRSD framework is flexible, adaptive, and centered on writing to learn. Its curriculum connections are extensive, reaching across multiple areas of the Ontario curriculum, but heavily rooted in Strand D: Composition - Expressing Ideas & Creating Texts, and Strand C: Reading Comprehension - Reading & Responding to Texts, and Strand A: Foundations of Language and Mathematics in the 2026 Kindergarten curriculum.

Where can I find the consistent graphic organizers from the video?
Hi Shelly – the organizers depend on the strategy, as well as the grade level of your students. Erika mentions a few sources in the webinar – there are free materials on the Releasing Writers website, and the Facebook group Erika mentions is a goldmine for educator-created materials as well.
Is it possible to get a copy of this slide deck in Google Slides or Powerpoint to use as PD at my school?
