Join Sharon Korosi for this ONLit series, The Literacy Coaching Network<\/strong>. Our work will begin with a book study of Jennifer Pierce and Kimberly St. Martin\u2019s Coaching for Systems and Teacher Change<\/em>. \u201cCoaching between educators is one of the best ways to improve outcomes for all learners – but coaches rarely get formal preparation for mastering this important role.\u201d This comprehensive guide to what effective coaching looks like combines relevant research with hands-on guidance and resources for work with teachers from Kindergarten through Grade 12.<\/p>\n

Every other week, Sharon will provide an overview of a chapter or article, present supporting materials, and guide a discussion with participants in whole group and breakout sessions as we explore coaching in the context of the new Ontario Language curriculum. The first session will begin with Chapter 2 of Coaching for Systems and Teacher Change<\/em>. Sessions will be 40-minutes long with the option to stay online for 10-15 minutes to address additional questions or discussion points.<\/p>\n
