Pour que leurs textes soient clairs et efficaces, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves apprennent \u00e0 utiliser correctement la grammaire, la ponctuation et les majuscules. Ces comp\u00e9tences leur permettent de bien structurer leurs phrases et d\u2019organiser leurs textes, afin d\u2019exprimer leurs id\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re pertinente.\n\nLe continuum des apprentissages linguistiques pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dcp.edu.gov.on.ca\/fr\/curriculum\/elementaire-francais\/contexte\/annexe-b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l\u2019annexe B<\/a> \u00e9num\u00e8re les attentes sp\u00e9cifiques en mati\u00e8re de syntaxe et de structure des phrases, de grammaire, de majuscules et de ponctuation.\n\nLes \u00e9l\u00e8ves devraient apprendre et mettre en pratique ces conventions \u00e0 travers la communication orale, la lecture et l\u2019\u00e9criture. Le tableau indique un continuum d\u2019apprentissages &#8211; c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire <strong>une sensibilisation \u00e0 la notion (S), une \u00e9tude syst\u00e9matique (\u00c9) et un approfondissement (A)<\/strong> &#8211; s\u2019\u00e9tendant de la 1<sup>re<\/sup> \u00e0 la 9<sup>e<\/sup> ann\u00e9e. Le tableau indique les p\u00e9riodes pendant lesquelles les \u00e9l\u00e8ves devraient utiliser les structures donn\u00e9es dans leurs \u00e9crits, mais ces structures seront utilis\u00e9es et comprises \u00e0 l\u2019oral beaucoup plus t\u00f4t.\n\nCes conventions linguistiques doivent \u00eatre introduites et d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es dans le cadre de l&rsquo;\u00e9criture, de la lecture et de la communication orale, plut\u00f4t que de mani\u00e8re isol\u00e9e, afin que les \u00e9l\u00e8ves puissent apprendre \u00e0 les utiliser pour communiquer et comprendre en contexte.
